He felt responsible for his mom’s death and he felt like if he apologized to dead Nana-san even 30 minutes earlier, she might have still been alive. He only does so because he doesn’t want to feel like someone else died because of him. Yano now lets her live with him to keep an eye on her.
Her friend discovers Yuri in time and saves her. After constant rejection from him and her friend finally tells her off that he’ll never love her, she commits suicide. He asked Yuri if she knew where Yano was and she did but she lied and said she didn’t! EVIL WITCH). She tries to ask a friend she works with that is suppose to be pretty to go to the bar Yano works at to get his phone number (she’s crazy I tell you – after Yano disappeared Takeuchi comes to find Yano and sees Yuri. Yuri starts stalking him, trying to make herself look like dead Nana with make up, and still he ignores her. She finds out where Yano is and Yano ignores her. At the same time Yuri yamamoto finds her way to Tokyo using her dead sister’s academic fund that the parents set up. From the traumatic event he sort of closed himself up afterwards. When Yano said he wanted to leave, I guess she freaked out and killed herself the next day. So Yano’s mother stops going to cancer treatment to stay at home to “protect” her son.
Yano’s mother is super jealous/protective and thinks that that woman is going to steal Yano away from her. His mother is going through some major psychological problems because Yano’s dad’s wife came to ask Yano to come into the family since he is the only heir. What happened was one night Yano decided he couldn’t take it anymore so he told his mother he was going to Hokkaido* to see Nana-chan. It mentioned that he stopped contacting Nana-chan 6 months after he left for Tokyo. It’s not that he can’t forget Nana-san, but it’s because he feels too much guilt. SPOILER ALERT: According to the most up to date chapter (the author hasn’t written a new chapter in about half a year because she’s in the hospital, therefore I don’t think a season 2 is going to come out for a long time any way) Yano is currently living with Yuri, but not out of love. SPOILER ALERT: it seems that he may be some wealthy man’s illegitimate son.Īlso, for those who think that he chose Yuri. He did mention that his mom is a prostitute, I’m not sure what he meant by that, but I’m assuming he thinks his mom isn’t some wonderful woman when it comes to love, but he accepts her for who she is and loves her. The innate nature of him wanting to protect women who are mistreated by men.
